HOUR PUBLIC SIGHTSEEING CRUISES
Your cruise
departs from the private dock of the century old Victoria Inn
located at Gore's Landing on Rice Lake. You will wind your way
around the drumlin islands that were created when a glacier receded
millions of years ago while you listen to the live commentary
on the aboriginal history of the area. You will hear about the
native burial grounds known as Serpent Mounds, as the only one
of its kind in Canada. You will go back in time when you hear
the history of the Cobourg/Peterborough railroad and how it was
constructed across Rice Lake only to meet its demise a short time
later
